Burro Fries (Fried):
Ingredients:
- - 2 lb Burro Bananas
- - 1/4 tsp of Sea Salt
- - 1/4 cup of Grape Seed Oil
- - 1/2 tsp of Onion Powder
- - 1/4 tsp of Dried Oregano (optional)
- - 1/4 tsp of Dried Basil (optional)
- - 1/4 tsp of Cayenne (optional) add more or less depending on preference.
- Score the Burro Bananas' skin and split them in half, then slice each half into thin strips.
- Mix in half of the spices listed, then pour 1/4 cup of Grape Seed Oil into a stainless steel or cast iron pan.
- Heat the pan to medium and cook the banana slices until they are golden and tender.
- Remove from the pan and place on a paper-towel-lined plate, season with the remaining spice blend, and serve with a condiment of your choice.
Burro Fries (Baked):
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Peel your Burro Bananas and then slice each half lengthwise into thin pieces.
- Combine grape seed oil, cayenne, onion powder, sea salt, basil, and oregano to create a coating.
- Toss your Burros with the oil/spice mixture and place onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes and enjoy!
